Eight upgrade slots on a single commander is the headline, and it is far more than most cards in this game carry. Armament, Command, Training, Doctrine, two Gear, Grenades and a Clan slot together mean two players can field the same miniature and end up with genuinely different commanders.

Armament and Doctrine do the heavy lifting, because the leader equips both, so the weapon and the fighting style become decisions rather than printed facts. Retinue: Mandalorian Warriors is the other half of the design, tying the commander to that Corps unit and rewarding an army built around the clans instead of one merely borrowing a Mandalorian.

Beneath the customisation sits a fast, durable profile: speed 3, five wounds, red defense with a block surge, Impervious to blank enemy Pierce, and Jump 2 to shrug off terrain. Four unit cards mean the box supports four separate leaders.
