Sandman brings company. Two Sand Constructs come with him and act as Grunts, so six miniatures on the table represent four characters, and a Spider Foes squad that includes him is quietly fielding more models than its threat cost suggests. On a crisis that spreads objectives around the board, that arithmetic decides games.

The other three cover jobs the affiliation needs. Vulture moves, Electro and Shocker apply damage from a distance, and all four are legal for the Criminal Syndicate as well, which makes this one of the better value boxes in the villain range if you are undecided between the two lists.

None of them is tough. This is a squad that wins by covering ground and forcing an opponent to choose which problem to deal with, and it loses badly to anything that can pick off a cheap model every turn without slowing down.

Six Team Tactic Cards support the crew. Before ordering, check the Spider Foes Starter Set, which contains all four of these villains along with six more characters and the tools and dice to play. If you own neither, that box is the stronger purchase and this one becomes a duplicate.
