Two kings, and unusually for a two character pack they are not really built to be played together. Namor, the Sub-Mariner is the expensive half: a flying, long moving objective runner with a charge attack, a re-roll aura for nearby allies and a passive that shuts off many of the defensive superpowers other characters rely on. He is legal in both Defenders and S.H.I.E.L.D. Black Panther, Chosen of Bast is the cheap half, a mystic attacker with Stealth who sits at the bottom of a roster and rarely costs you a plan.

That gap in cost is the point. Namor eats a large share of a squad, so he wants an inexpensive partner, and this T'Challa is exactly that. He also carries one of the widest affiliation spreads in the game, playing in Wakanda, Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Defenders and Midnight Sons, so he very rarely sits in the case unused.

The catch for Wakanda players is that he is another T'Challa and you may only field one. Against the older Black Panther he trades raw output for a lower cost and for mystic damage, which the affiliation was short of. Worth deciding which one your list actually wants before you commit.

The natural follow-up is the Defenders Affiliation Pack, where both models are legal and the Namor aura pays for itself. Two miniatures with bases, two character stat cards and five Team Tactic cards, supplied unassembled and unpainted.
