One man, two very different models. Warren Worthington III appears here twice: as Angel, a light, cheap mutant flyer who fits Uncanny X-Men and Hellfire Club rosters, and as Archangel, the version Apocalypse rebuilt, who brings X-Force and Servants of the Apocalypse to the table.

That split is the reason to buy the box. Neither model is a centrepiece, and neither will win a game on its own. What they do is fill the awkward low end of a threat budget with a mobile body that can get to a far objective on turn one, which is a job most mutant rosters need doing and few of the big-name characters do well. If you want a model that hits hard, look elsewhere. If you keep finding yourself two points short with nothing useful to spend them on, this solves it.

Archangel can be assembled with or without his helm, so painters get a real choice rather than a cosmetic one.

Good for a player who already owns a mutant collection and is tuning it, rather than a first purchase. Natural companions from our range are the X-Force Affiliation Pack, Xavier's Students Affiliation Pack and Marvel Crisis Protocol: Apocalypse, whose Servants affiliation Archangel shares.
