Speed 1 is the number to reckon with, and Steady is the rule that makes it bearable. Snowtroopers move slowly, but Steady lets them fire after a standard move, so they advance and shoot in one activation rather than surrendering a turn to repositioning.

That pairing makes them a grinding, forward-pressure Corps unit instead of a reactive one. Red defense dice give them better staying power than most single wound infantry, and the upgrade bar is generous for a Corps choice: a heavy weapon, a personnel slot, gear and grenades all fit, so one squad can be built as a fire base and another as a close-range shock element. The E-11 covers range 1 to 3, the standard Imperial engagement band, and the box holds enough miniatures to field the unit two different ways across a list.

They lean hard on commanders who hand out orders in bulk, because a slow unit that loses its order has wasted the entire turn.
