Thirty-nine miniatures is the largest model count of any starter in the range, and that is no accident. A droid army is meant to feel numerous, and a box handing you a handful of elite figures would misrepresent how the faction actually plays on a table.

Everything a first game requires is present: red, black and white attack dice, red and white defense dice, and the twenty-four battle cards supplying objectives, deployment and conditions. Without that last deck there is no way to score at all, which is the detail that catches out people who buy an expansion instead.

Five unit cards keep early list building simple, while twelve upgrades and ten command cards leave room to develop. Two 50mm slotted bases among the smaller ones point to something considerably bigger than a battle droid waiting inside.
