Red defense dice are the quiet difference between this walker and the Rebel version of the same chassis, and they are why a Republic AT-RT weathers attention that would strip its Rebel counterpart off the board.

Armor 2 cancels two hits from every attack, six wounds sit behind that, and courage 4 makes it effectively immune to the morale pressure that folds infantry. Scout 1 nudges it forward before the first turn, while Climbing Vehicle and Expert Climber turn vertical terrain into a route it takes on purpose instead of an obstacle to walk around. That mobility is the real selling point, because it lets the walker occupy ground your opponent assumed was safe.

Its rocket launcher reaches range 1 to 3 with Critical 1 and Impact 1, threatening armor at distance, while the grappling claws roll three red dice in melee with Impact 1 for anything that closes. The Hardpoint slot decides which of those roles it commits to.
