Speed 1 on a Corps unit is a statement of intent. These troopers are not going anywhere, and every other keyword on the card is written on that assumption.

Prepared Position rewards them for being set before the shooting begins, Low Profile makes them harder to hit at distance, and a black die on the A280 across range 1 to 3 gives them better output than Rebel rank and file usually manage. White defense with a block surge means dodge tokens keep them alive rather than raw toughness.

Coordinate: Emplacement Trooper is the keyword that shapes a list around them. Put them beside an emplacement weapon and the two feed each other orders, turning one corner of the table into a position an opponent has to pay dearly to take. That is a specific plan, and this unit was built for it rather than for general duty.
