The Rebellion has never been able to win a straight fight, so it stopped trying to. Rebel Commandos are the expression of that policy: a seven-model strike team built to hit something specific and be somewhere else before the response arrives.

Two unit cards in the box mean more than one way to field them, and that flexibility is the real appeal. The same seven miniatures can be built toward different jobs depending on what a list needs that week, which matters more than raw numbers in a game decided by objectives. Play them as a scalpel: identify the enemy unit or objective that will decide the game, then go and take it. Play them as a firing line and a cheaper Corps unit will out-trade them every time.

They belong in a Rebel Alliance army that already has a solid base:

  • Rebel Troopers or the Fleet Troopers Unit sitting on the objectives
  • The Rebel Sleeper Cell Unit Expansion as a second specialist threat
  • The Logray & Wicket Commander Expansion if you are building the Endor mission properly

Seven hard plastic miniatures and bases, two unit cards, four upgrade cards and an insert. Camouflage and mismatched kit make for a characterful painting project with none of the uniformity of an Imperial squad. Best in the hands of a player comfortable enough with the game to know which target actually matters.
