The mortar in this box cannot shoot anything closer than range 3. That minimum is the most important line on the card, and it dictates where the whole unit stands for an entire game.

A DF-90 Mortar Trooper is an Emplacement Trooper detachment joining the Shoretroopers, firing between range 3 and 4 with Suppressive and Critical 1. Cumbersome stops it moving and firing together, Fixed: Front locks its arc, and Full Pivot alongside Reposition are the tools you get to manage both. Sentinel extends its standby reach, and Fire Support is what ties its shooting to the squad it sits with.

Coordinate: Emplacement Trooper on the Shoretroopers is the other end of that link, feeding orders to the mortar. Both move at speed 1 with Prepared Position, and a Long Shot E-22 covers range 1 to 3, so the pair form a static, mutually supporting fire base.
