Obi-Wan gets the statue, but it was Commander Cody who kept the 212th functioning. This character expansion puts him on the table as a Commander for the Galactic Republic, and he does not arrive alone: Waxer and Boil come with him.

Cody is a coordination piece rather than a duelist. His value lies in how he makes the rest of an army work together, which is a very different way to lead a list than a Jedi who wades in and kills things personally. If your Republic force leans on clone troopers and vehicles rather than lightsabers, Cody is the commander who lets those parts support one another. If you want a hero who wins fights by himself, look at a Jedi instead. Cody belongs inside your line, protected, issuing orders, not out ahead of it.

Three command cards come in the box, and they matter as much as the miniature does. Command cards are where a Legion commander's personality actually lives.
