Two legs, one chin gun and a very long shadow. The AT-ST is the Galactic Empire's Heavy walker, and it does two jobs at once on a Legion table: it puts serious weight of fire into anything it can see, and it makes your opponent rethink every approach lane on that half of the board.

The walker rewards patience. Advance it alongside your troopers rather than out in front of them, use terrain to deny return fire from the flanks, and grind down whatever it can reach. Its vulnerability is the classic one for a single expensive model: it activates once per round, so an opponent who ignores it and runs the objectives can win the game while your walker is still winning its corner of it. Two unit cards in the box mean more than one way to field it.

Build around it with:

  • Stormtroopers or Snowtroopers screening the advance
  • The Darth Vader & General Veers Character Expansion for command presence
  • The Outer Rim Battles Terrain Pack so there is cover worth fighting over

Contents run to one miniature and base, two unit cards, four upgrade cards, a punch sheet and an insert. It is a large, clean kit and one of the more satisfying Legion models to paint, with plenty of flat armor for weathering. A natural centerpiece for an Endor or Hoth themed Imperial force, and approachable enough for a player still learning the game.
