Eight black dice in one melee attack is the number that defines her, and it is an unusual way to build a duelist. Where other lightsaber characters roll a handful of red dice, Ventress throws volume, which makes her output far more consistent against defense rolls than a smaller pool of better dice would ever be.

Impact 2 and Pierce 2 mean that volume converts into real damage against armor and heavy infantry instead of being soaked. Jar'Kai Mastery shapes her melee, Relentless lets her attack after moving so she is never a turn behind the fight, and Jump 2 carries her over the terrain between her and a target.

Deflect and Immune: Pierce shield her from ranged fire, while Independent: Dodge 1 keeps her working on rounds when no order reaches her. Two Force and two Training slots leave plenty of room to specialise her further.
