Not every droid on a Separatist roster is built to stand in the open and trade blaster fire. The AQ-series aqua droid was designed for amphibious work, and that specialist background shows on the table: this is a compact four-model Heavy unit for the Separatist Alliance, not another wall of B1s.

Fielding four larger droids instead of a big infantry squad changes what the unit is for. You are not buying bodies to blanket the board, you are buying a concentrated package of firepower that can go where the fight is and does not evaporate the moment it takes a couple of wounds. The trade is worth thinking about before you build a list: fewer miniatures means fewer chances to absorb damage, so aqua droids want something screening in front of them and a clear target picked out before they commit.
