Moonstone: Brunhilde the Giant

Giants in Moonstone do not join causes. They take contracts. Brunhilde carries the Giant, Mercenary and Norse keywords and fights for the Commonwealth.

The Brunhilde Monster Box contains one large Giant miniature in fine quality resin with base and stat card. Multipart, unassembled and unpainted, as with everything in the Moonstone range.

Spending one of a standard troupe's four slots on a giant is a trade: fewer models, more presence. It suits Commonwealth troupes built on gnomes, because a gnome trio has plenty of clever and not much weight. Rune Fated is the obvious partner, since Liv, Bjorn and Olim are all Norse gnomes and Brunhilde completes the theme as well as the troupe. Outlanders does the same job with Joanna, the Nordic Princess and Loci, the Nordic Shipwright.

Going the other way, drop her behind the humans of Administration of Justice or Rags to Riches and let the small models chase moonstones while she occupies the middle of the board.

Best bought second or third rather than first: you want three characters before you buy one big one. For an established Commonwealth player she is among the better paint projects in the range, with enough surface area to justify trying something ambitious.
