Marvel Crisis Protocol: Yondu & Nova

Both models here are Guardians of the Galaxy and nothing else, so this is a box for someone already committed to the affiliation rather than a general purpose pickup. Inside that lane it is a strong one.

Nova is the heavyweight. Richard Rider pairs strong defences across all three damage types with a deep stamina pool, flight and a long move, which is a rare combination: most models this hard to remove are slow. He is the closest thing the Guardians have to a character you can send into the middle of the table and expect to get back.

Yondu is the more interesting card. His Yaka arrow reaches most of the board, ignores cover entirely and hands out Slow, and on the right roll it fires again at a second target nearby for free. Ignoring cover matters more than it sounds, because it means a terrain heavy table stops protecting the objective sitter you need to shift. He is the answer to an opponent who parks on a Secure and dares you to come and get them.

Between them they cover two long standing gaps in the affiliation, a durable front line piece and reliable reach. Round it out with Adam Warlock, Moondragon & Quasar or the Guardians of the Galaxy Affiliation Pack. Two miniatures with four bases, two stat cards, three Team Tactic cards and an insert.
