Jean Grey arrives in two states, and swapping between them mid-game is the whole point of the pack. Four miniatures cover Phoenix and her Phoenix Unleashed form, but only one stat card is in the box, so the four models represent one character in a roster, not four choices.

She sits at the very top of the threat scale for Uncanny X-Men, which is the honest warning attached to this purchase. In a standard game she eats a huge share of your available threat, and the rest of your list has to be built around covering the objectives she cannot personally sit on. When she comes off, she wins the game outright. When your opponent refuses the fight and plays the crisis instead, an expensive Phoenix stranded in the middle of the table is how a mutant list loses.

Buy her if your X-Men collection is already deep enough to field cheap supporting characters, which means something like the X-Men Starter Set or the Xavier's Students Affiliation Pack already on the shelf. Leave her alone if you own four or five mutants total, because she will crowd out everything else you own. Painters will want her regardless: the transformation sculpts are among the most ambitious in the line.
