George Tarleton is a floating brain in a hoverchair with a psychic reach far longer than his physical one, and that is a fair summary of how he plays. He is not a character you charge into contact. He is a character you position carefully, use to interfere with what your opponent wants to do, and protect with somebody sturdier while he does it.

He holds tickets in both Cabal and Criminal Syndicate, which is the practical reason to own him: two villain affiliations get a mid-to-high cost specialist from one purchase. Cabal lists tend to run him as a second focal point behind Red Skull, while Criminal Syndicate lists lean on him harder because that affiliation has fewer characters who can threaten from a distance.

His weakness is durability relative to his cost. Anything that reaches him tends to punish him, so he wants a screen, and a list built around him needs cheap characters to actually hold the objectives while he works. That makes him a poor first villain purchase for a thin collection and a strong second or third one. If you are choosing between versions, note that M.O.D.O.K. Scientist Supreme is a different character card with a different affiliation reach, not an upgrade to this one. Miniatures come unassembled and unpainted.
