Red Skull's leadership is the engine, and the other three characters exist to run on it. Crossbones, Baron Zemo and Ultron are individually capable rather than combo-dependent, which is what makes this the gentlest villain affiliation to learn: nothing here requires you to assemble a sequence of cards before the squad does anything useful.

All four sit in the cheap to middling range, so a Cabal list can put four or five bodies on the board where a heavyweight faction fields three. That model count wins crises. What it does not do is win fights against a genuine top-end character, so the plan is to spread out, take points, and refuse the middle-of-the-table brawl that a Malekith or an Asgardian list is hoping for.

Zemo and Crossbones are also legal for Hydra, so the box quietly supports a second villain direction if you later pick up Red Skull & Hydra Troops.

Three Team Tactic Cards come with the miniatures alongside redrawn stat cards. It is the right first villain purchase for most people, and the wrong one if you specifically want a huge centrepiece model, because there is nothing of that scale in here.
