Star Wars Unlimited: Soft Crate Obi-Wan/Darth Maul

Wave three of the Star Wars: Unlimited Soft Crates went back to the duels, and this is the Naboo one: Obi-Wan Kenobi against Darth Maul, printed in full colour across the box.

Sixty cards, double-sleeved, one deck. That is what it holds, and it holds nothing else, because a deck box is not a product with cards in it.

Gamegenic's Cobra Neck geometry runs the flap here. It opens well past 180 degrees and then stays where you put it, which sounds trivial until you have played a game with a lid flopping back across your resource row.

• Internal separator to take up slack

The separator does more work than people expect. A crate rated for sixty double-sleeved cards is loose with fifty single-sleeved ones, and cards that slide about in transit are cards that pick up corner damage. Slot the divider in and the problem disappears.

Wave three designs are, as a group, the busiest artwork in the line. If you want understatement, the plain colourways exist. If you want the fight that set the whole prequel arc in motion on your deck box, this is it.
