Star Wars Unlimited: Ashes of the Empire - Prerelease Box

Read this first: the Prerelease Box is an organized play kit, not an ordinary sealed product. It is meant to be handed to one player at a store's Ashes of the Empire prerelease event, where everybody opens theirs at the same time and builds a deck on the spot. Using it at home works perfectly well, but what you are buying is one event seat's worth of contents, not a starter and not a display.

Inside, for a single player:

• 2 prerelease promo cards
• 1 deluxe deckbox
• 1 deckbuilding guide
• 1 divider card
• 19 counters

The promos are why collectors chase these boxes. They are prerelease-only variants of the leader cards for Luke Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine, and they appear in this format alone.

Ashes of the Empire is the eighth Star Wars: Unlimited set, built around the Battle of Endor and the galaxy that followed it. Cards from it are legal wherever the format allows Set 8, so nothing here is confined to sealed play.

Deckbuilding is required. Six packs is a sealed pool, not a deck, and the guide in the box walks through turning one into the other.
