Three units, three clearly separated jobs, which is what makes this Galactic Republic box such a useful one to learn squad building with. Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi is the Primary and plays as a supporting commander, using the Force to move and bolster the characters around him rather than to win duels by himself. Jedi Master Shaak Ti is the Secondary and supplies the hitting power. The Padawan Learners are the Support unit and focus on keeping the squad standing.

Put together, that is a squad which wins by attrition and positioning rather than by removing an enemy character quickly. It is a patient, forgiving way to play, and a good match for someone who found a duelling squad punishing. The corresponding weakness is a shortage of burst damage: if an opponent presents you with one juicy target for one turn, this squad is not always equipped to take it.

All three units are Clone Wars era Jedi, so everything here also folds into a wider Republic collection, which is the deepest faction in the game.
