Star Wars Shatterpoint: Strategic Positions

Missions decide Shatterpoint games far more often than raw damage does, and this pack changes what you are playing for. Inside sit one Mission card, a punchboard of markers for laying out the objectives, and nine Struggle cards that reach across the first, second and third struggles of a game.

Who needs it: anyone who has played the Core Set scenarios enough times to know where the objectives will be before they deploy. Unfamiliar layouts force you to rethink where your Primary starts, and the extra Struggle cards stop the middle and late game following the same script every night. It also gives two players who already own squads something new to do without buying more miniatures.

Who does not: a brand new player. The Core Set already ships with mission and struggle cards, and those are the ones an opponent will assume you have played. Treat this as a second or third purchase. There are no miniatures, no dice and no rulebook in the box, so on its own it puts nothing on the table.
