Star Wars Shatterpoint: Measuring Tools

Four range tools and three movement tools, the same shapes found in the Core Set. In a game where every step and every shot is checked against a physical tool, owning one set means one player waits while the other measures.

Who needs a second set: anyone teaching the game to a new opponent, any club running more than one board at once, and anyone who built a collection out of squad packs without ever buying a Core Set. Squad packs hold miniatures and cards, never tools, so a player in that position cannot measure anything without borrowing across the table.

Who does not: anyone with a Core Set who plays alone or teaches a single opponent at a time. These are spares rather than upgrades, and they change nothing about how the game is played.

They arrive unassembled and unpainted, so you can finish them to match your board if that appeals, though plenty of players simply build them and leave the plastic bare.
