There is no more efficient piece of Imperial propaganda than that helmet. Stormtroopers are the Corps unit the Galactic Empire is built on, and this expansion adds a full squad of seven to your army.

The squad is weighted the way an Imperial line should be. Five troopers carry the trademark E-11 blaster rifle, and two heavy weapons specialists bring either a DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle or an HH-12 rocket launcher. That second pair is the real decision in the box: the DLT-19 gives you more volume against infantry, the HH-12 gives you an answer to vehicles, and which your list needs depends entirely on what your local opponents keep putting on the table.

Tactically, resist treating Corps units as filler. Stormtroopers are what stand on objectives while your scouts, Death Troopers and characters do the flashy work, and an Imperial army that skimps on them will win firefights and lose games. Two or three squads is not excessive.

They anchor a list containing:

  • Scout Troopers or Imperial Death Troopers operating ahead of the line
  • An AT-ST Walker or E-Web Heavy Blaster Team for weight of fire
  • The Empire Card Pack if your collection is still on older cards

Seven highly detailed miniatures, matching those in the Core Set, arrive with the unit card and upgrade cards needed to field them. White armor remains the classic painting test and a satisfying one to pass. The most reliable single purchase a new Imperial player can make.
