Every B1 that ever marched came out of a Geonosian foundry, and Poggle the Lesser owned the foundries. This expansion brings the archduke to a Separatist Alliance army as a commander, with his lieutenant Sun Fac beside him as an operative.

Taking a Geonosian leader rather than a droid one is a deliberate statement about what kind of Separatist army you want to run. Grievous and the tactical droids are built around the droid horde. Poggle sits at the head of a force with a hive in it, and he is the natural choice for a list that mixes Geonosian Warriors in among the battle droids. Sun Fac plays the other half of that idea: an operative goes forward alone and creates a problem your opponent has to spend resources solving.

Four command cards come in the box, and for a two-model expansion that is where most of the value sits. Command cards change how every turn of your game opens.

  • The Geonosian Warriors Unit Expansion for a themed hive army
  • B1 Battle Droids and B2 Super Battle Droids for the droid backbone
  • An AAT Battle Tank as the heavy anchor those foundries turned out
