Moonstone: Eternal Servitude

Every model in this box goes into two different troupes. Viktor Petty, Viscount de Faulte and Igor are all legal for the Dominion and for the Shades, which is unusual for a three-model set and makes it one of the more flexible purchases in the range.

The Viscount is the centrepiece: a 40mm sculpt at eleven energy pips carrying Risen, Noble and Animal, and the only one of the three with real staying power. Viktor Petty is the Human Rogue, eight pips, arcane 4, with two inches of melee reach. Igor is a Spirit at seven pips, the cheapest body here and the one you are least sorry to lose. Each comes with a stat card and base.

Since a Moonstone force runs to about four models, three arriving together is most of a troupe. Buy this once and you can field it as a graverobbing Dominion crew or fold the same resin into a Shades list without repainting anything. In a game settled by card duels instead of dice, that flexibility shows up in list building rather than on the table, and it is where the value sits.
