Moonstone: Brothers in Arms

Not soldiers. Militia. There is a difference, and the Commonwealth gnomes are very clear about which one they are.

Brothers in Arms is a three-model troupe box in fine quality resin: Young Jack (Gnome, Noble, Militia), Gradock (Gnome, Militia) and Morris (Gnome, Militia), each with a stat card.

This is the Commonwealth's gnome core, and the Militia thread running through all three is the point. Three models that share a keyword tend to hang together better than three unrelated characters, and Young Jack brings Noble on top, so you get a leader-flavoured model without giving up the theme.

Add a fourth. Mama's Boys gives you more gnomes to choose from, and Quarrel in that box carries Militia too. The Gnomish Airship is the Commonwealth's gnome flyer if you want something that is not walking around the same terrain as everyone else. For raw muscle, Brunhilde the Giant and Gotchgut the Giant are both Commonwealth-legal mercenaries.

A good first Commonwealth box. Gnomes are small models with a lot of character and no intimidating flat expanses, which makes them friendly to a newer painter. Multipart resin, unpainted and unassembled.
