Marvel Crisis Protocol: Movement & Range Tools

Passing one set of measuring tools back and forth across the table is the single most tedious thing about learning this game, and a second set is the fix. Four range tools and three movement tools mean both players can plan at the same time: one person works out whether a charge reaches while the other checks a line of sight, and a turn that used to take four minutes takes two.

There is a competitive argument as well. When you have to ask for the tools to check a distance, you are telling your opponent exactly what you are thinking about. Owning your own set keeps your intentions to yourself until you commit to them.

Nothing here is a game piece, so it adds no characters, cards or options to your collection. If you are choosing between this and a character pack, and you only ever play with one regular opponent who already owns a set, buy the characters instead. It matters most if you are the person who hosts, if you teach the game to newcomers, or if you play at a club where a spare set gets a second table running.

The tools come unpainted, so they can be finished to match your board if you want them to disappear against it.
