Marvel Crisis Protocol: Inhumans Affiliation Pack

Everything an Inhumans squad needs to be legal is in this one box, because Black Bolt leads and Medusa, Crystal and Lockjaw fill in beneath him. That makes it a genuine standalone affiliation purchase rather than a top-up, which is not true of most four-character packs.

Black Bolt is the reason people play the faction and also its problem. He carries a large share of your available threat, so the squad around him has to be efficient, and Crystal and Lockjaw earn their place by being cheap enough to hold ground while he does the damage. Lockjaw in particular is the piece that makes the list work rather than a novelty, since a teleporting dog on an objective is worth more games than it looks.

The Royal Family is a small affiliation, which cuts both ways. There is not much choice in list building, so you learn it quickly, and there is not much room to adapt when a matchup goes badly. Five Team Tactic Cards come with the miniatures.

Ronan the Accuser is the natural extension, since he is legal here as well as with the Guardians. Avoid it if you want deep roster options; take it if you want a compact team you can learn properly in a month.
