Marvel Crisis Protocol: Emma Frost and Psylocke

Two telepaths, three miniatures, and one of them changes state mid-game. Emma Frost comes in both her ordinary form and her diamond form, so the model on the table tells your opponent which version they are currently dealing with, and choosing when to switch is the decision the character is built around. Psylocke is the simpler of the pair: a focused close-range attacker who turns psychic energy into a blade and expects to be in contact.

The reason to buy the box is breadth. Six Team Tactic Cards come with the two characters, and one of them hands Emma a leadership for the Hellfire Club while the rest support Uncanny X-Men, so a single purchase either opens a new affiliation or deepens the one you already run. For a mutant collection that has plenty of muscle and no control, this is the corrective.

Neither character is cheap, and neither wants to be shot at. Emma in her ordinary form is not built to absorb punishment, and Psylocke has to close the distance before she does anything, which makes both of them vulnerable to a squad that can apply pressure from range. Pass if your X-Men list already leans psychic and you need bodies for objectives instead. Take it if you want the affiliation to play a thinking game rather than a brawling one.
