Infinity: Bakunin Überfallkommando

Bakunin is the Nomad mothership where anything goes and most of it does, and its riot control units reflect the neighbourhood. The Uberfallkommando pairs a heavily modified human handler with a pack of engineered hybrids, which is less a squad than a controlled release of something that should probably stay in its cage.

On the table this is an assault element, built to cover ground quickly and end fights in close combat rather than trade shots at range. That gives a Bakunin list a threat that forces an opponent to think about distance, which is a very different pressure from a gunline.

Supplied unpainted and unassembled in metal and resin, and the sculpts are among the more characterful in the Nomad range for painters. Close combat in Infinity is decided by getting there alive, which takes some understanding of the reactive turn, so a newcomer will learn more from a starter set before running a pack like this.
